Family:

My wife Laurie and I were married June 11, 1983. We have four children, Audra, Linda, Brianna, and Brenton. We have been residents of Manchester, WA since 1984. My wife and I are very involved in our children's activities and individual interests. As a family we enjoy boating, traveling, and community events. I have been a resident of Kitsap County since 1974 when I became a Professor at Olympic College in Bremerton, WA. Before that time, I attended the University of Idaho, where I received my Bachelor of Arts and Masters degrees in Education. I also attended Eastern Washington State for my 5th year, Education.

Retired State Representative 26th District, Washington State House of Representatives. Elected November, 2000. Committees include: Transportation, Natural Resources, Economic Trade & Development.

My business provides a needed service to individuals who may not otherwise qualify for personal loans. I have been a part of this business for over 20 years. As a business owner in Bremerton, it has been my good fortune to be part of the community involved with upgrading the downtown area.

My wife and I enjoyed running this business, a jewelry store, as a team. Our customers became our friends. We closed this business in 1996 and combined it with Dave's, when Laurie was pregnant with our youngest child. This consolidation allowed Laurie time to stay at home with our son.

My passion was working directly with students both young and old. I came to the college level of education because I enjoyed working with people who wanted to take part in their own learning experience. I was an integral part of starting the Circuit and Weight Training classes. I was a Track coach and also taught Health and Physical Education.
